MedPrep ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and web platform ("MedPrep"). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that identifies, relates to, or describes you ("Personal Data"):

• Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, password, role, and certification study level.
• Third-Party Auth Data: If you sign in using Google or Apple Authentication, we receive your name, email, and authentication tokens provided by those platforms.
• Study & Performance Data: We store your exam scores, quiz answers, flashcard reviews, study streak history, and bookmark history to power adaptive learning and progress tracking.
• Device & Notification Data: We collect push notification tokens, timezone offset, device type, and OS version to schedule study reminders and deliver app updates.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

• To create, manage, and secure your MedPrep account.
• To personalize your study schedule, track your streaks, and calculate performance metrics.
• To send study reminders, streak notifications, and important product updates.
• To analyze platform usage trends and improve our question banks and application experience.
• To prevent fraudulent access and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with third-party service providers that perform essential operations on our behalf:

• Firebase (Google LLC): Used for authentication, security rules, and cloud infrastructure.
• Expo Push Services: Used to deliver push notification alerts to your mobile device.
• Cloudflare R2: Used for secure media and avatar image storage.

5. Account Deletion & Data Rights

You have full control over your personal information. You can update your profile details directly in the mobile app or web platform settings.

Account Deletion: You can delete your account at any time directly inside the MedPrep mobile app by navigating to Settings > Account > Delete Account. Alternatively, you can submit a request directly on our Delete Account Page or by emailing support@medprep.app. Upon confirmation, all your profile data, progress logs, and stored credentials will be permanently erased.

6. Security

We employ industry-standard encryption protocols (HTTPS/TLS) and secure token storage (SecureStore/Keychain) to protect your authentication credentials and personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction.

7. Children's Privacy

MedPrep is designed for higher education students and healthcare professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 13 years of age.
